each piece is made by hand, so please allow for variation within the material and from piece to piece. this piece is sturdy enough, but should be treated with care. The vessel is glazed and will hold water, though due to the semi-porous nature of stoneware, some condensation and sweating may occur on the bottom of the pieces.
